Farmart

Went to Farmart with my cutie girlfriend the other day. It was kind of nice to be feeding the animals at their animal corner but we felt kind of sad because of their(animals there) living conditions. It was extremely foul-smelled and there were worms, flies, ants and mosquitoes around their cages and ground. It is really disgusting, everything was so poorly maintained and absurdly dirty. The animals seem starved and lowly-energized, they only became active and even combative when they saw visitors coming with food.

One obvious tell-tale sign about the animals being extremely hungry and starved is when I fed them food, both rabbits became attacking each other, same goes for the parrots when I fed them the sunflower seeds... They pecked each other, it's just depressing, nonetheless we had fun feeding them. I realized the goats are not pleasurable to the touch so don't bother to sayang them. Go sayang your girlfriend or boyfriend instead. The goat's skin are extremely rough, when I looked into its eyes they seem to be filled with nothing but sorrow.
One of the 'cleaner' rabbits

We took public transport to Chua Chu Kang and took their shuttle buses which costs $1 per trip. If you want you could drive there as there are plenty of parking lots there but it would be kind of hot because it is a non-sheltered gantry carpark. For the feeding of animals we bought a set for $5 and 2 extra ala carte feed for the poor rabbits and hamsters etc.

Please do not sneak in outside food to feed them because it may be detrimental to their health.

Stuff to do there: (* = Recommended to try based on personal experience)
  • Feeding of animals (Some animals are not allowed to be fed, they will put up a sign if it's not allowed)
    • Rabbits *
    • Guinea Pigs
    • Hamsters
    • Rats
    • Fishes
    • Frogs (They don't seem to give a **** about the food despite several tries)
    • Goats *
    • Chicks and Chicken
    • Parrots
    • Mosquitoes (Buffet style)
The animal feed costs $5 per set (She will give you a basket that contains the following)
      • Carrots (For small animals like the rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters etc)
      • Vegetables (For the goats)
      • Large balls of fish food (For fish and the frogs who doesn't give a **** like I said so don't bother feeding them)
      • Sunflower Seeds (Parrots)
      • Baby corn  (For small animals like the carrots)
*You can purchase any extra feed for $1 per pack*
  • Prawning (Doesn't look like there's much though)
  • Pet grooming (There are pet shops that provides grooming services and selling of pets)
  • Food
    • Tze Char (Looks like there are a lot of food but we didn't bother eating there)
    • BBQ Seafood
  • Parrot show (Parrots playing basketball, quite cute) *
  • Educational tours (Advance booking is required)
And don't bother to touch the stray dogs thinking they are cute, I warned my gf not to touch it but she insisted in trying to sayang it, as soon as her hand goes near it turned combative, not funny as it may give you rabies, and contrary to popular belief, rabies is worse than babies so don't try your luck it's just not worth it.

2nd year Anniversary Ideas

Happy 2nd Year Anniversary to us(:

Hello everybody! It's finally time for me to post, can't post earlier because my girlfriend hasn't seen the surprise yet but now that she's seen it, I can come up with a tutorial for all you guys and girl who are interested in making something that your other partner should appreciate(especially girls).

Our 2nd year anniversary was actually on 31st of September but I gave her 2 roses and a letter on that day first. You could give her something small while working on your secret love-cursed item. I made a highly customized present for her, I'm not sure what it should be called but you'll see it for yourself. I'll start with a step by step tutorial and just for you guys, I'm adding each step with pictures just for you! =D

This is really beneficial because as I'm making something for my girlfriend, I learnt many new words because I have to flip the dictionary alot of times and as I do, I read the definitions for words that I have not seen before. So it's really educational as well. The hearts that you see in this photo frame are words that describes my girlfriend, it's cut out from a dictionary.

Customized Heart Shape Descriptor for your girlfriend

Patience Level required: 99999 (You have been warned)
Items Required:
  • Photo Frame (Small to medium will do)
  • Scissors
  • Small or medium heart shape cutters
  • Pen knife
  • Pencil
  • Cutting Board (You can use stacks of newspaper if you don't have one it's okay, it's just to protect your table or floor when using the pen knife)
  • Alphabet stickers
  • Cute stickers that your gf/bf likes
  • Old Dictionary/Old book(Preferably romance)
  • Plain Scrapbook paper (Nice colour that she likes)
  • Glue(those UHU dry stick glue)
  • Super Glue
  • A small photo/Polaroid of you and her together (preferably smaller size as the frame)
  • Tweezers
  • Gift wrapping paper
Optional:
  • Mini Ziplock bags (To contain your love for her in the form of paper hearts)
  • Music (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) [Prevents you from going insane]

Instructions:
1) Open the photo frame and remove the protective/cosmetic piece of paper/backing that is already inside

2) Remove the standee, place it on the scrapbook paper that you are going to use and draw it's outline with a pencil (Lightly but visible line will do)

 3) Use your pen knife and carefully cut the lines out (Remember to place the cutting board or thick newspaper behind other wise you will cry after you cut it) *Girls(Some) please don't use it to cut yourself*

 4) Superimpose the piece of cut scrapbook paper over the standee frame to check that the dimensions are the same

 5) Summon your heart shape cutters (the centre one you can get it from Daiso for $2)

*THIS IS WHERE REAL PATIENCE IS REQUIRED* * I literally spent almost a day or two flipping the entire dictionary and finding words that describes my cutie girlfriend*

6) However, once you are done, you can tear it out or cut that section out and use your puncher to punch it out (It is very frustrating as you have to properly align it)

The best single word to describe all our girlfriends(:

It should look something like this after you punched it with the heart shape puncher

7) Repeat the process until you have reached your desired number of hearts or until your patience runs out and pray you have enough  otherwise just open your mouth and place your right thumb in your mouth and suck it

8) Once you are done you can place them in the mini zip lock bags like this while you clear up some thrash first

 9) Basically what you do next is just to paste maybe 4 or 5 (Vary it according to the size of your photo frame)  in each row like the following. But you need to keep some space for your couple photo (Highly recommended for you to paste the photo FIRST to prevent the realization that you do not have enough space after you are done pasting the hearts)
To paste it you just use tweezers and dap the back of the heart on some dry glue stick and paste it on the scrapbook paper in any way you like
10) Repeat until you are done

Mine looks like this after the creative department of my brain finally decides to kick me out
Not sure if you can see it but it actually has a shape of a heart around the photo(:

11) It's time to use the alphabet letters and paste her name on it. You can use a ruler to help with the alignment if you know you have alignment issues like me.

12) You can further decorate it with stickers that are cute but keep it simple because they say 简单就是美 (It means Simplicity is beauty in Mandarin).

Final product when it's completed (Without wrapping)

13) Wrap it with gift wrapping paper, I wrapped it to protect the precious contents and for her to have something to look forward to, but it's also because she would feel sad when we have to part for the day so it's a surprise to also cheer her up when we part because we can't get enough of each other! *Here's a bucket for you to vomit HAHAHAHA*

Final product after it's wrapped (:

THERE YOU GO MY FRIENDS(:

Please take these tips very seriously as it would effectively affect your life on earth

TIPS:

  • Here are some words that you should probably avoid using to describe your partner at all cost
Avoid.At.All.Cost
  • If for some reason the heart shape gets caught or it's not cut properly, DO NOT FORCE IT OUT, I SWEAR IT WILL F****** tear and you will want to roll into a ball and cry after that. Because once certain words are used, you can never get it back (Deep meaning alert)
Just use the penknife and carefully cut AROUND it and carefully extract it, after which, use the scissors and carefully trim it to a heart shape, I got so pissed off doing this for so many times that I almost stabbed myself with a banana
  • I realize that it can sometimes be avoided if you cut it swiftly like punch it in one sharp and fluid motion
Caught or not cut properly like this
  • if you are a lazy bum bum you can make your life easier by searching for synonyms of certain words like beautiful on thesaurus so it may be easier and quicker for you to search it on the paper dictionary itself
  • Off the fan or stay away from open windows while doing this asyou are working with small pieces of paper so unless you like picking small stuff on the ground, would strongly suggest to remove any potential wind elements
  • You can purchase most of the stuff at normal handicraft/stationery stores such as Popular, Daiso, Muji and some slightly more atas stationery stores which I forgot the name
  • Alternatively before you decided to buy, try to ask around to see if anyone has the stuff that you may need so you can save money, try to visualize how the end product will look like in accordance to your expectations before you actually do it

 How we celebrated
  1.  Movie (Ultima Seats)
  2. Shopping
  3. Sentosa Skyride & Luge
  4. Celebrate BFF birthday(post)

Movie
We started off by watching 'November Man' at Cathay Cineplexes @ JEM. We booked the ultima seats (Best seats for an affordable price) The seat is really designed for couples. You can even lie down sideways to watch the movie and at both sides there are privacy covers to give you more privacy eh (wink wink), I think that is really nice because I wouldn't want other people to look at us while we cudde and watch the movie. There is also more leg space which is awesome, it also comes not only with the usual cup holder and also a popcorn holder which is awesome because when I want to take a break from the munching I usually place it on the ground which ended up getting kicked one way or another. We literally had the best seats in the house as we took the centre seats, and Ultima seats are only located at the end of the theatre.

Price: $31.50 (Inclusive of booking fee of $1.50)  [Note that we went on a Saturday]
[System will force you to book one pair of ultima seats]
Outlet: JEM Shopping Mall
Here's how it looks like

Shopping
Pretty standard, I like to do window shopping at major supermarkets especially Fairprice XTRA and Cold Storage, I would go to the canned food storage and look around. She would follow me and look around. When it's her turn, we went to shop at some clothing store where I would give her opinions on which one looks nicer and like any girl, she would question my opinion HAHAHA but ok she got the one I said looks nice on her anyway hehe

Sentosa Skyride & Luge
We took the Sentosa Express (Tram) at VivoCity and alighted at Imbiah Station. We only wanted to go for the single-ride therefore we had to purchase tickets only at their main skyride & luge counter as online bookings will only allow you to purchase the bundle of 3 rides.
It was very fun because I get to play it with my cutie girlfriend, the last time I played was in secondary two man.

Here are many photos that we took in Sentosa and during the rides hehe (We didn't take it during the luge because we simply can't take it, but I'm glad we didn't because I look even uglier in the helmet)
I won't arrange the photos but you can just view it(:

Last photo that I'm gonna post for the sentosa trip

 Celebration of BFF's birthday
After we had so much fun at Sentosa, we went to the birthday boy Alson Lim's house and had a steamboat/grill dinner. As usual I got lost while attempting to locate his house without my compass HAHAHA because we always drive in and the last time we went there was like in 1947.
It was actually a post birthday celebration and sort of like a pre-flight gathering/dinner since he is going to Japan on a school trip for 10 days. So Alson if you are reading this, Happy 20th Birthday Bro!

Enough of the typing and let's go to the photos and by the way I didn't take a picture of the cake because it's just like any ordinary cake.
BFFS (:
Birthday boy is the one wearing NP Shirt

BFFs and my cutie gf(:

Posing for shots

With that, I shall end my post here and hope that I helped you one way or another or that you simply enjoy reading my posts. Would appreciate if you could help me share it so that more guys would be more into doing stuff for their girlfriends(:
If you have any questions you can use the anonymous askfm box or tweet me @Benjaminyql, wa, or fb pm me if we are friends. Even if you don't know me or just need help I'll be willing to help you(:

Would like to thank Lim Xin Rong for lending me the heart shape cutters(:
Once again, HAPPY 2nd YEAR ANNIVERSARY MY DEAR GIRL!
